From The President
Welcome to our new web site - and our new state-of-the-art manner of communicating with TABBmembers. This site has been designed specifically for you, to keep you informed at all times about the operations of your professional association. From this point forward, you will have a central information source for all TABB functions - from the actions of the Board of Directors to chapter meetings, from education programming to annual conventions, from TABB Forms to TABB sponsorships, from Affiliate services to Broker Tips, from member recognitions to member services. It's all here, in one site, for your benefit.
As you can see, we are making great progress with our strategic plan. You already have the proposed bylaws, which simplify our operations and bring our association into compliance with the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act, and the election procedures, which will provide our association with a continuous bank of strong leaders from within our ranks. Our next steps will be the adoption of Chapter procedures which will for the most part formalize the many good things which our chapters already do. The biggest benefit here will be that all the chapters will reach for the same high levels of excellence in a uniform manner.
We will continue to work on your behalf with the Texas State Securities Board on the securities licensing matters and make that information available to you here on the web site. We have arranged for key TSSB officials to address this issue at all of the April chapter meetings. I urge you to attend your chapter meeting for this important update. Additionally, you will have quick access to new TABB forms and updates which become available.
I would encourage you to explore the site, use it, and feel free to offer comments and constructive suggestions on how to improve it. I can tell you that the more I have explored this site, the more excited I have become on the real power and benefit that is available to all of us as members.
All in all, our goal is to provide benefits to you as a member of TABB to better help you be a successful professional in the business transfer profession.
