May 22 Chapter Meeting

Meeting Program: How to Develop a Buy Side Practice
Panel: Gregory Isaacs, Kirk Eklund, & Bob Esty

Every business transaction has two sides - the seller and the buyer. Brokers/intermediaries have followed the Real Estate tradition of getting "listings" and then advertising for buyers. However, when "shopping" for a business, a business matching a buyer's specific criteria may not be available when they are looking. A buyer's representative can help the individual (or corporation) narrow their requirements and then make a highly targeted search for a likely acquisition target. Once found, the buyer has an advocate in the process - from negotiations to facilitating the due diligence and closing.
